A late era classic from director Peter Bogdanovich that would make Orson Welles proud. If you thought Mank stank then “The Cat’s Meow” will turn your crank.

Directed by Peter Bogdanovich from a play (from a screenplay) by Steven Peros. Starring Kirsten Dunst, Edward Herrmann, Eddie Izzard, Cary Elwes, Joanna Lumley, Claudia Harrison & Jennifer Tilly.

How is the world wrong about this movie?

From Bryan: Everybody talks about Bogdanovich’s seventies movies, nobody talks about anything after that. They’re missing out! This film is clearly made on a low budget, but chock full of big ideas and fascinating performances. It’s time for a revisit.
